CASSANDRA NAVA
ABOUT ME
Cassandra Nava is an English major studying journalism in Pacoima, CA. After taking a couple of journalism courses, she realized that her love of reading and writing would finally fit into a career path. Cassandra joined the Valley Star in the spring of 2020 and her first published piece for the paper was about Oreos (yes, the cookie). She realized she loved writing for the paper, and soon focused on student services and local issues. The California native loves to learn about the environment and social issues.
Cassandra hopes to apply the skills that she’s learned in the newsroom to her career.
