Jackson Kelly comes to The Valley Star after taking an article writing class on a whim. Prior to enrolling at LAVC, they graduated from The University of Iowa in 2011 with a Bachelors in Theater and Women’s Studies. Jackson’s background is primarily in comedy writing for stage and screen, but they love all forms of writing.

Jackson hosted the podcast Jack Loves TV where they discussed various shows and trends in television with a different guest every week, and they have been featured on several podcasts including Unpopular Opinion, Act Like a Girl, List! Cast!, and This Is Rad.
In their spare time, Jackson enjoys weightlifting, romance novels, and Animal Crossing. Their current obsession is the hit television show, Schitt’s Creek. Jackson lives in Studio City with their two cats, Simon and Shepherd.
