Isaac Dektor is an Economics major from Studio City, CA. He worked in commercial and film production for three years, starting off as a production assistant before becoming a camera assistant. When COVID-19 squelched most of the production work in Los Angeles, he decided to pivot. He enrolled in Valley College full-time beginning in the Fall of 2020, then joined the newspaper at the start of 2021. As an ex-freelancer, he understands the importance of forging relationships in the local community.
As a film junky growing up, his appreciation for journalism began to blossom after he first watched "All the President’s Men."
In his free time he enjoys reading, listening to the Lex Fridman podcast, and surfing.
