At approximately 11:15 a.m. a white Honda Civic was seen leaving Valley College’s Parking Lot A onto Burbank Boulevard last Wednesday. A silver BMW collided with the Honda and swerved onto the curb in front of the fire station. The BMW landed upright against a telephone pole.

“Students need to be careful about pulling a U-turn when leaving school and onto Burbank Boulevard,” said LAPD officer Enos.

Firefighters from the station were first to arrive on the scene with police officers arriving shortly after. Neither of the drivers were injured and they exchanged information for insurance purposes.

“After what happened today I think I’m just going to stick with Uber and the buses for a while,” said Valley student Mynor Marroquin, the owner of the Honda.

“I just got this car a few weeks ago and now it got into an accident,” said Chris Elias, owner of the silver BMW.

Elias’ friends and family showed up and offered their support.

“As soon as I saw the sky I just jumped out the vehicle and couldn’t believe that it was upside-down,” said Elias.
